Theodore O’Connor a 14.1-hand Thoroughbred Sportpony gelding made history at the 2007 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI**** in Lexington Kentucky as he became the first pony – horses are 14.2 hands or taller – to compete in the prestigious four-star event. “The Pony ” as he was referred to throughout the weekend was piloted to third place by two-time Olympic medalist Karen O’Connor and was one of only two horses to finish the stadium jumping round with no jumping or time penalties.
